Job Summary:

The licensed practical nurse provides skilled nursing care in accordance with the physician’s orders. He/She is responsible to and function under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The licensed practical nurse shall provide nursing services defined within the scope of practice authorized by the LPN license.

Job Responsibilities:


  • Provides patient care services, administers treatments and medications as ordered in the patient plan of care and as assigned by and under the direction of the registered nurse.
  • Prepares clinical notes, documenting services provided and the outcomes obtained; prepares equipment and materials for treatment using sterile and aseptic techniques.
  • Provides ongoing assessment of the patient and communicates with other members of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Provides patient, caregiver and family counseling and education




  • Graduate of an institution of practical or vocational nursing and licensed to practice in the State of Florida.
  • Performs selected skilled actions in the provision of curative, rehabilitative, palliative or preventative nursing care.




  • A.A or A.S in nursing or related field is required.
  • Licensed in the State of Florida as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required.




  • Prior Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Medicare home care
