The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) is a skilled technical provider of physical therapy treatments and related duties. The Physical Therapy Assistant works under the direction of the Physical Therapist.
Services furnished by a qualified PTA will be furnished under the supervision of a qualified physical or occupational therapist.
Graduated from an accredited and approved institution or program
Minimum of one year working experience
Knowledge and Skills
Bilingual- English/Spanish, English/Russian and/or English/Creole preferred. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with database management software programs and word processing. Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment. Ability to successfully negotiate conflict. Effective organizational skills with the attention to accuracy, detail, follow-up. On-call availability. Own transportation and clean driving record. Must be able to be punctual and arrive at the patient’s home on time.
