Living in the familiar surroundings of your own home is the preference for most seniors. Having a continuity to your daily life in the home that holds so many memories is reassuring and can facilitate a happier, healthier lifestyle. In fact, staying in familiar surroundings provides memory reinforcement and can help to maintain a sense of dignity. As we age, however, we often need some help to preserve our independence at home. Mobility & Fall Prevention

Preventing falls and fractures is a primary concern for seniors with impaired balance, vertigo, strength or cognitive issues.
In fact, a whole range of medical conditions or chronic illnesses, including arthritis, stroke, Parkinson’s Disease and Alzheimer’s Disease, can create serious challenges to the daily movement within your own home.

Getting your loved one in/out of his or her wheelchair, chair, bed, toilet, shower, etc, is a key area of fall prevention. Additionally, if a senior is recovering from a recent surgery or hospital stay, he or she is likely more vulnerable to falling and in need of mobility assistance. That’s where Nursing Plus of Broward can help.

Health Monitoring

Medication, hydration, and nutritional reminders are a basic part of health safety, along with general observation and reporting of any unusual concerning changes in appearance or behavior. These should be immediately brought to the attention of both your family and the Skilled Nursing Staff of Nursing Plus of Broward.

Medical Conditions and Illnesses That Would Benefit

In addition to assisting with non-medical needs, there is a wide range of medical conditions and illnesses that would benefit from our home health aides.
